Week #10 – Blogs II

Although we have come to the end of the journey for Connecting East, we hope this is not the end of the road for you in terms of developing your technological skills. Katie and I will continue Fruity Fridays for the rest of the term at least, so please come along if there is anything you would like support with.

And so to the final challenge. This week you will be using blogs to help you reflect on the Connecting East experience, and writing comments to share your thoughts and feedback.

Katie and I would like to say a huge thank you for joining us on this road trip. We are so pleased that so many of you came along for the ride.

Great work you guys. So cool to see just some of the things you spend your time doing. Great to try things I haven’t seen. Am a new convert in some areas. Now I will go and check out all the trickier stuff meant for the expert. Thanks again.

So, for week 10 i thought you were supposed to have commented on all the weeks in blogs? I am just lusting after that coloured in dark-green square on that XL spreadsheet, you 2 Ks! So where are the comments from the others who have that coveted dark green square number 10? Not here…But I, yes I, I have commented on all 10 in a mass frenzy of blogginess.

I really appreciated this opportunity to access all this new-fangled modern stuff. I actually found your enthusiasm to just talk about this stuff more helpful than the scurvy-ridden Fridays and the times i lost my cuppa time at 950 as i just popped in for a ’simple bit of clarification’ were priceless as you unleashed your keeness on me and actually showed me how useful and good it could be. Top stuff, and I will be availing of how ept you are next year.

so I am still not totally into blogs – not sure about making comments for everyone to read – but do enjoy reading what others have got to say

    I agree totally!
I enjoyed the activities, great fun and did pick up lots of new things!
Big thank you to K-L and Katie for all your hard work!

Now I am being competative and making sure my name appears on this blog as well ;) I look forward to next year and the new tasks you will set!

I may have been a bit of a late starter, but here I am at Week 10! What an amazing job you two have done. Loved the differentiation each week. I need to be more of a risk-taker though, and give the harder challenges a whirl.
Many thanks! What’s planned for next year??

    I did it!
I really liked this style of PD. You have introduced me to so many more aspects of IT. I look forward to going beyond the ‘novice’ stage in the holidays once I begin my volunteer work – will I have more time?!?!?
Thank you for setting up such a fantastic way to PD us. AMAZING!

I have thoroughly enjoyed becoming a digital migrant. Want to learn more and will be going back to these tasks at a higher level hopefully. Bex

I have a good basis-now I want to do more and get to expert. I found owing to time I tended to go for the easy option to make sure I ‘covered’ everything. However I know that I can do more and in some cases already have done.
I couldn’t attend fruity Fridays but the most fun was sharing in the last week. The social side of this was good fun and I was learning other ‘tricks’/info and shortcuts.
How can I now promote this so that people can go onto the next level?
How can I help TAs to support you in ICT too- (IWB training for group work?)
    Suggestions really welcome.
Katie and Keri Lee, you are absolutely amazing. I hope that my support and interest speaks volumes!
    Thanks so much

better late than never! I’ve finally made it to the Week 10 task. Wish I could have had more time to devote to this learning experience, as I have enjoyed it and would have liked to have made my way through each level of each task, but just didn’t have the free time to do so.
Thanks for all your hard work putting this together and keeping us all motivated.
